- Network Frequencies Planning
Overview
NFP (Network Frequencies Planning) is the module of WinRPT that permits to simulate the best configuration of allocation channels, among those available, for microwave links belonging to the complete network or a part of it.
NFP suggests the best combination of allocation channels, with regard to criteria you chose: transmission frequency, polarization or both of them simultaneously.
NFP works directly on WinRPT’s Radio Data Base (RDB), so that it is possible to select the network of interest, or a portion of it, through the common tools available within the module dedicated to point-to-point design.
The target of the NFP module’s is the searching for a combination of channels and/or polarization, that may be the best or an ameliorative combination respect to the previous one, for the network under test. The "value" of the combination is determined on the basis of an evaluation function which takes into account 4 different factors:
- Percentage of channels occupied;
- Margin above the threshold of interference;
- Degradation;
- QoS for rain outage.
Main features
- Main criteria for analysis:
- Optimization of polarization;
- Optimization of polarization and channels;
- Optimization of channels (without taking into account polarization).
- Selection of stations:
- By geographical area;
- By band
- By network...;
- Selection of solutions:
- Best Solution;
- First useful solution.
- Selection of channels;
- Key Parameters:
- Maximum distance of correlation among stations;
- Maximum interference;
- Maximum degradation;
- Maximum outage for rain.
- Lock of channel and/or polarization, for single links or groups;
- Control of low/high conflict.
Goals of simulation
NFP allows you to set the minimum values for the goals listed below:
- Rain outage;
- Degradation;
- Interference;
- Engaged channels.
Output and data export
