Broadcasting planning and system design
Overview
The BDC module is the tool for TV and FM Radio Broadcasting systems design, able to manage coverage and interferences analysis.
WinBDC allows to build Panel Antenna Systems, managing antenna systems both for digital and analogue signals.
Sharing the full WinRPT environment, WinBDC lets you plan your network over a 2D/3D territorial model.
SFN and Time Delay
Thanks to the latest release of WinBDC is now possible to characterize DVB technology, SFN and gap filler systems.
Moreover, SFN time delay optimization is the new feature which helps you to find the best values according to the following criteria: population or area maximization.
Coverage/Interferences analysis
Through design panel in WinBDC module, you can implement covered area and population analysis with respect to ITU standard thresholds. Coverage analysis can be performed for single radiating system or more systems at once. You can also evaluate isochannel interferences related to coverage systems.
DVB-T/DVB-H
It is available a hierarchical system in order to integrate DVB-H services in a DVB-T network. In addition, the introduction of features characterizing physical and link levels, completely define a DVB-H system.
Antenna Systems Design
BDC module allows to build radiating systems from single antenna and manage full or simplified antenna system (e.g. with H, V diagram only) by easily importing/exporting the supported antenna formats. It also allows to perform the optimization of radiating system as null filling and beam tilt calculation.
