Lte North America
Dallas 8-9 November 2011"Lte North America 2011" will be held in Dallas from November 8 to 9.
This event focuses on new mobile broadband products and services. This edition will also see the participation of Vector, at 12 stand. During the event Vector will present new features in its planning and design suite.
CAPER 2011
Buenos AiresSince 1992 CAPER organizes annually an Exhibition of Professional Equipment and Services for Radio, Television, Cable, Film, Satellite & Multimedia, which already has become internationally recognized event that gathers each year more than 6,000 managers, professionals, technicians and students involved in this medium.
We are pleased to meet you at the booth of Antenas NOVUS SA, booth C-44 since October 26th 2011 until October 28th 2011.
Vector announces distribution agreement with Elber S.r.l.
Elber, the company that from 1978 has chosen to work in the microwave radio link sector for the broadcast industry, will distribute Vector’s products for radio-planning and design of microwave networks. Born in the Italian Riviera in the north of Italy near Genoa, Elber is today present at all major international trade shows regarding the broadcast industry, counting on a widespread diffusion of its products in every part of the world: Europe, Central and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia.
WinELF for "Provincia di Roma"
The "Provincia di Roma" ("Environmental protection services" Dept. IV, "Air and energy protection" Serv. III) has acquired Vector’s software in order to evaluate the environmental impact due to electromagnetic fields generated by power lines. In fact, the provinces (according to the 14/99 Lazio Regional Law and 96/99 Decree) should monitor the compliance with the limits and parameters provided in the legislation regarding protection from electromagnetic pollution and actions for restoring power lines with voltage up to 150 KV. Particularly WinELF will be used throughout the areas under the jurisdiction of the Provincia di Roma to check the conformity to the requirements described in the DM 29/05/2008, regarding the exact calculation of respect zones.

3D Antenna System Editor

Always bearing market needs in mind and putting broadcasting advices to good use, Vector has developed a new tool to make even easier and faster the design process. The 3D editor for the geometric synthesis of radiating systems is a new concept way to create and edit an antenna system directly from its graphical interface with an extreme ease of use. Two steps are enough to build a complete antenna system starting from scratch. The great benefit derived from the simplicity of creation and editing of antenna systems, as well as the ability to simultaneously display both irradiation-solid and 3D system plant, undoubtedly will be appreciated by all those who daily deal with antennas construction, installation and systems’ simulation. Copying, pasting, duplicating antenna arrays, changing data panels or the entire group, as well as adding offset in any direction, always controlling the resultant radiation pattern, has never been so practical and friendly. From today on, coverage and interference analysis performed by WinBDC will be even faster.

WinBDC at work
WinBDC, the software produced by Vector and very widespread among Italian broadcasters, has been confirmed by TIMB as the design tool aimed at re-engineering its TV networks.
In late switch-off phase, the attention is especially directed towards the improvement of coverage according to served population in digital technology.
To fulfill a so ambitious task, support of a confidence tool makes a difference. TIMB has chosen WinBDC. Taking advantage of coverage and interference analysis as well as of features derived from the engine on which the GIS planning software is based, the designers of the TV company have almost carried out the digitalization of their networks.
Actually, the merits of the tool are: reliability of simulations, accuracy of results, flexibility, start-up assistance, technical support and vertical solutions, export in the native formats of the most common applications for web-mapping, availability of the results in suitable time.
The next important challenge of the "digital" way will see the use at top speed of High Definition in digital TV and still Vector will have the leading role alongside the main characters of the scene.
WinEDT/Vicrem/ELF 7.3.5: from calculation to 3D export
WinEDT allows you to import and view 3D shapefile containing polylineZ / poligonZ / pointZ in 2D or 3D view. In addition you can save the content of the graphic area into a scaled bitmap, georeference it and export the result directly on Google Earth. Import/export of fix points and polygons in .KML format (Google Earth) is available too.
One of the most important innovation in WinELF is the compliance with the current legislation which refers to respect zones calculation (DM 29 May 2008).
The new version of WinELF, beyond generating simulations of magnetic field through 3D model, allows interactive detection of conductors’height for each point. You can extract horizontal and vertical field contour line in 3D mode, view and export them.
In Vicrem has been implemented analytical export on Google Earth for simulations (coverage area, respect volumes, etc..) and for radiating elements (dipole centers, transmitters, links, etc..).
The New NFP module
NFP (Network Frequencies Planning) is the module of WinRPT that permits to simulate the best configuration of allocation channels, among those available, for microwave links belonging to the complete network or a part of it.
NFP suggests the best combination of allocation channels, with regard to criteria you chose: transmission frequency, polarization or both of them simultaneously.
